What HIFU is
HIFU stands for high-intensity focused ultrasound: focused ultrasound heat delivered at three depths under the skin — 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm. At 4.5 mm the energy reaches the SMAS layer, where a lift is built structurally. The skin surface is not damaged.
At Mavi we work with the 360 Ultra HIFU. A session takes 60 to 150 minutes, depending on the number of zones. You feel brief pulses of heat at depth; more sensitive zones feel more intense.
How your HIFU plan runs
1 · Skin Strategy Consult — €50
One 60-minute appointment with Joyce: intake, a View Skin analysis and your personal treatment plan. You pay at the clinic; the amount is deducted from your plan.
2 · Plan and agreement
If HIFU suits your skin, Joyce sets out the zones, number of sessions and rhythm in writing. HIFU is never bookable on its own: sessions are planned after a signed plan.
3 · Sessions and evaluation
Collagen build-up takes time. People often notice a first change around week 4 to 6; the build-up continues over 2 to 3 months. An interim evaluation follows around week 8.
From Antwerp to the clinic
- From Groenplaats in central Antwerp it is 16.3 km by car, about 25 minutes without traffic, via Straatsburgbrug, Ekeren (Ekersesteenweg, Veltwijcklaan) and Lage Kaart.
- By bike it is 17 km, about 61 minutes.
- We are open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00; we are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Why travel to Brasschaat for HIFU?

Because Mavi has one clinic and Joyce does every consult herself: analysis, plan and follow-up stay with the same person. From Groenplaats it is 16.3 km, about 25 minutes by car without traffic. After the consult you know how many visits your plan involves, so you can plan the trips in advance.
What does HIFU cost at Mavi?

From €175 per session for one zone; more zones cost more. All prices include 21% VAT and are on the price list. The Skin Strategy Consult costs €50.
Can I book a HIFU session straight away from Antwerp?

No. At Mavi, HIFU is never bookable on its own. You start with the Skin Strategy Consult; sessions are planned after a signed plan.
Who is HIFU not suitable for?

Not during pregnancy, with a pacemaker or metal implants in the zone, active skin inflammation, or recent fillers in the same zone. If in doubt, we look at it during the consult.
How long does a HIFU result last?

That differs per skin. You build new collagen, but the skin keeps ageing in the meantime. That is why we do not promise a duration in months.
